New feature: Soldiers patroling Chernarus
I've been playing around with some AI soldiers. The idea is to add 4-5 groups with 2-4 soldiers in each group. The groups will spawn radomly on the map at server startup and start patroling the nearby area (a few km radius).
The leader will carry M16A4_ACG while the rest have M16A2. The leader also have a glock17 and the basic tools. Additionally there is a 40% chance that he will have nvg and gps.
These soldiers have come to Chernarus to clear out all infected and they'll take no chances so they will open fire on survivors also
Im still tweaking the code and running it only on my test server. It seems to work. Of course, as this is homemade stuff, there is allways a chance that it will go horrible wrong once implemented on the server

found one of those squads was 3 of em, kill em fast so they didnt get to shoot at us but do they shoot at players and zombies if they see us?

Yes they should attack if a survivor is spotted.
currently ai is set to engagement mode:
"YELLOW" (Fire at will)
If AI spots a target and decides it is in effective range, he will open fire. By default AI is set to YELLOW.
If a leader calls Target, the unit with aim without breaking formation.
combat mode:
Aware
lie down when scared
soldiers sometimes move in cover
vehicles still prefer roads, travel in convoy
However the default patrol routine and ai itself might change the modes accordingly.
I also noticed that leaders with nvg will equip them when it's night

it's quite easy to take out a patrol of like 4, so i guess a bit more accuracy wouldn't hurt. Then again, I'd be quite pissed of if they killed me aswell :p

you can be killed if get caught off guard by them
